Spinalonga

You will spend this day at the Gulf of Mirabello on the Cretan Riviera. In the morning we will drive to Agios Nikolaos. Here you will have plenty of time to look at the picturesque town before we set off in a boat to the peninsula of Spinalonga, sailing across the blue, shining bay.

Spinalonga, with its Venetian fortifications and ghostly remains of a leper colony, which existed until 1957, is certainly worth a visit. Naturally, we will stop in the bay for time to swim. Round about midday we will arrive in Elounda, where you have the chance to eat lunch.

The bus will be waiting for you here to bring you back to your hotels travelling via Fourni and Neapoli.
