A. Accommodation in Iraklion or surrounding area

1. Day: Archanes - sacred Mount Jouchtas (the sleeping Zeus) The walk begins in the largest wine producing area of Crete and leads to the sacred Mount Jouchtas.

2. Day: Zaros - Rouvas Gorge Journey to Zaros, where trout are bred, a walk round the lake and through the Rouvas Gorge with good pathways and rest areas.

3. Day: Lassithi Plateau - Mount Karfi. The tour, taking two hours, begins in Tzermiado and leads to Mount Karfi with its late Minoan settlement.

4. Day: Ida Mountains Walk through the impressive mountain landscape of the Ida Massif.

B. Accommodation in Rethymnon or surrounding area

1. Day: Rethymnon - Mili A nice easy walk through the pretty Mili Gorge, southeast of Rethymnon.

2. Day: Agia Irini Gorge in the southwest of Crete Walk through the gorge to Sougia, at the Libyan Sea.

3. Day: The White Mountains Not only the Samaria Gorge, but also the mountain summits are waiting to be climbed.

4. Day: Akrotiri Peninsula A walk from Gouverneto Monastery to Katholiko Monastery and down to the sea to the Cave of the Bear.
